A new online experience starts on Monday. My new course, Design Solutions for the Artist/Weaver begins Monday, January 13, 2020. This class has been something I’ve been working on for about a year and a half and I’m so thrilled to say that it is ready.

Why this class?
I have been teaching tapestry weaving for about a decade now and the most frequent question I get as soon as students master some of the basics is about designing. Some of us have had art classes or even have art degrees. But many of us come to tapestry with a crafter’s heart. We’re used to following knitting or crochet patterns or weaving from drafts. If we’ve never created our own patterns or designs, tapestry weaving can suddenly feel like you’ve hit a blank wall. It can be quite overwhelming.
We love handling the yarn and the interaction of colors and the ability to make images with a few simple tools and techniques. But we’re not always happy with the resulting tapestry.
This is where a little knowledge about design can go a long way. This class will teach you the basics in small monthly increments. Learning about design and executing your own is a process, so let’s get started.

Registration period
Registration will only be open from January 13th through January 31st. Then the cart closes. So jump on board in January. The sooner you sign up the sooner you can jump into the content. (Because February’s trainings will drop on February 3rd.)
